Fundraising to support the RNLI
Staff at Coleman Marine Insurance, a Gallagher Company, are fundraising to support the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and its life-saving work. We will be supporting them through a programme of fundraising over the next 12 months including a charity quiz.
Our employees recently attended an internal webinar, we were delighted to be joined by members of the RNLI who shared their experiences of volunteering and working with the organisation. The RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service in the UK and Ireland, and their seasonal lifeguards look after people on busy beaches. The RNLI crews and lifeguards have saved over 142,700 lives since the organisation was founded.
The RNLI also work with schools and organisations to promote water safety across the UK through their community safety and their international teams work with like-minded organisations to help tackle drowning in communities at risk all around the world.
We have a proud history of supporting communities and charities at a local and national level. Gallagher runs the ‘Gallagher Gives Back’ initiative, which includes a community fund where employees are encouraged to nominate local organisations for funding, and a matched giving scheme. Staff are also encouraged to volunteer to support their communities, and Gallagher will be supporting the fundraising for the RNLI throughout 2021 and beyond.
